I'm writing this at 9:28 so I'll try to keep this short, but basically:
Big fancy title! The menus are kinda good now! There's also 2 brand new songs I made just for this game. One plays at the menu, the other plays in-game. You can hear more of my music at https://goodnightgirl.bandcamp.com/
Also, we got animations now for attacking and idling! While there's yet to be an animation included for this new feature, there's also a new "lob" secondary attack to make it more effective to toss stuff around. Some satisfying 1-2 combos are in your future. And I messed with the colours of balls to make them stand out better when they're hit. I hope to eventually incorporate some kind of texture that makes it more apparent whose team a ball belongs to from a distance. I want to make this game colourblind-friendly soon here. There is a new bug where all the cool tooltips I wrote to show in-game to tell you about its features is just...kinda missing. Hopefully the countdowns make sense without that context. I had plans to re-organize the HUD to be one instance instead of splitting the hud between every instance of the player actor. I think this is my calling to finally get that change done, since it's not the simplest of fixes. Anyways, thanks for reading this update about Keep Away! No idea if I even want to keep calling it that, but I'm happy at the steady progress I've been making on what is effectively my largest coding project ever. Have fun! And let me know what you think of the game in the comments!
